New dad from Clydebank wins £50k car and £20k in cash

A NEW father had the surprise of a lifetime after scooping a £50,000 car and £20,000 cash.

Kewesi ‘Ron’ Edwards was at work when he found out he was the new owner of an Audi RS3 plus £20,000 richer.

The IT analyst, from Clydebank, and his partner Maria, have just become parents to their first child.

Sean Hall from online competitions company BOTB delivered the good news.

Ron said: “I can't believe it. This has come at the perfect time as we’ve just welcomed our little boy into the world.

“It’s been a tricky couple of years for us after Maria lost her job during Covid. But my son has been a huge blessing and this win is just a beautiful surprise.”

Ron, who paid just £1.40 for his ticket to enter the competition, said he’d been playing BOTB for almost a year but plays for a different car each week so had no idea what he was going to find when Sean led him to his prize.

“I just don’t believe it,” he laughed. “I’m in absolute shock.”
The Audi RS3 Sportback will now replace Ron’s Vauxhall Insignia.

But the surprise wasn’t finished there as £20,000 was waiting in the boot.

Sean, who surprises BOTB winners each week, said: “It was a pleasure to meet Ron and Maria and surprise them with their dream car and cash. Massive congratulations once again.”
