VIKAS VOLKSWAGEN VICTORY!

It's the first big win of 2023, and Christian was in Leicester to surprise this week's Dream Car winner, Vikas Dharam with a brand new Volkswagen GTI Clubsport!

"Wow this is so exciting, I can't express it!" Vikas exclaimed as he set eyes on the £40,000 hot hatch. As this is the Clubsport there is a change to the body, making it more aerodynamic and helping it reach top speeds of 155mph! The clubsport also has 300bhp which goes straight to those two front wheels!

Vikas was shaking with excitement as he fired up the sporty hot hatch and heard the engine roar - which created quite a crowd!

But the surprise wasn't over yet, because as we were running a special 2022 promotion last week, Christian opened the boot to reveal that he had also won £22,000 cash to go with it! Vikas is already planning on putting the money towards a new house and helping his mum out!

Massive congrats Vikas!

Leicester man wins dream £62,500 dream car and cash - but will spend prize money on mum

Jan 2023

A warehouse worker has won a £60,000 dream car and prize pot, but intends to spend much of his winnings on his mum. Vikas Dharam, from Leicester, became the first BOTB dream car winner of 2023 and was lost for words at his stunning prize when it arrived at his parents' house this week. The 20-year-old warehouse worker had entered the lifestyle competition last year, with prizes including sports cars and smaller cash prizes for lucky entrants. However, the chances are slim for many, but Vikas got quite the surprise when the BOTB team arrived with the keys to his new Volkswagen Golf GTI Clubsport.

The surprise did not end there when BOTB confirmed that there was £22,000 in cash in the boot as an extra prize to mark 2022. Vikas said: “Wow this is so exciting, I can't express it. The car is really nice and smooth, I really like the brand.” The car, which is worth £40,500 on its own, boasts a top speed of 155 mph and 300 brake horsepower to give the hot hatch all the power it needs. With the added money in the boot, Vikas’ prizes total a stunning £62,500. However, the prize came as a big surprise to his family as he did not tell them he had entered. He is now said to be considering a cash alternative to the car for one good reason - to help out his mum. “My family is so excited that I won. I’ve also had so many people call me and congratulate me. I’m going to think about my mum and think about buying her a new house,” he said.

BOTB gives out dream car prizes every week, while lifestyle prizes also form part of their regular daws. Since launching in 1999, the company has given away more than £48 million worth of cars.

BOTB’s Christian Williams, who handed Vikas his prizes, said: “I am delighted for Vikas, especially as he is our first winner of 2023. It is such a nice touch that he is looking at buying a new house for his mum. You can see what it means to all the family that he has won.”
