Dream Car competition winner & results Craig Vrettos - Nissan GT-R Recaro + £20k 09 - 15 Dec Week 50 2019

Monday, Tuesday Happy Days!

Christmas came early for Welshman Craig Vrettos today when Christian turned up at his place of work in Plymouth with the spectacular Nissan GT-R!

Craig’s wife and colleagues managed to keep things a secret from Craig who thought he was about to meet an engineer for a site visit – but met BOTB’s very own Christian instead! “Happy Days!’ exclaimed Craig who then went on to receive a huge round of applause from his workmates!

Craig is a massive petrolhead, who according to his wife “does nothing but talk about cars” and even gets her to take pictures of cars whilst he’s driving! So it’s no surprise that as a self-confessed speed freak he played for this £85,000 beast which has 565bhp and a top speed close to 200mph!

And Craig’s day got even happier when Christian also revealed his extra £20,000 cash prize in the boot… which earned another round of cheering from his co-workers!

Massive congrats Craig and Merry Christmas!

Plymouth man stunned by dream car and £20k cash a week before Christmas

Dec 2019

A Plymouth man has stuck gold this week after winning a top-of-the-range Nissan GT-R worth £85,000 and £20,000 in cash.

Self-proclaimed car lover Craig Vrettos from Plymouth was surprised at his workplace in the city, by dream car competition BOTB presenter Christian Williams.

Contract manager Craig, 59, started entering the competition online about a year ago and has been playing ever since.

“I couldn’t really believe it to be honest,” said Craig. “I’ve been close to winning before but wasn’t sure if I ever would.”

Craig has been a 'petrolhead' since the age of 17, when he was given his father's 3.0L Ford Grenada.

“I’ve had quite a few cars over the years, an Audi Q7, a VXR - I do like fast cars," he said.

Craig's wife of nine years, Claire, had already decided what colour the car would be, although he was unsure if he’d let her take the car for a spin.

“She’s had her mind made up since she found out - we’re going for black, like our current Audi - I might let her take it out on a clear road I suppose,” he laughed.

“Plymouth is a lovely city but I reckon it would be nice to go for a drive through the hills of Wales - where I am originally from.”

BOTB has given away more than £30m worth of prizes since being founded in 1999 by William Hindmarch. The company has high-profile stands at airports, as well as online at BOTB.com.

TESTIMONIAL

Wow! What can I say - I'm buzzing! Love playing the game and always look forward to seeing how close I am each week. Winning was amazing. Didn't have a clue until I saw Christian and Sean the cameraman. After that shock, I started to get excited, especially when I saw the GT-R! Since then the whole experience has been fantastic, from liaising with BOTB and the car dealer to picking up my new GT-R on March 2nd. Thanks, BOTB for a great competition and without which I would never have the opportunity to own and drive a Supercar!
