A GOOD WIN FOR DAVE!

Dave Goodwin made as little noise as his new car does when Christian delivered the news that he’s Dream Car winner number 503! Unlike some winners, Dave was cool as a cucumber when he was shown the futuristic all-electric Audi E-Tron worth £70,000, simply declaring “that’s nice, that is!”

A regular player for electric cars, Dave recognises that “they’re the future” – even his employers JCB are starting to produce electric diggers! Huge congratulations Dave – enjoy the E-Tron!

THE JUDGING PANEL

£70k win for David

Dec 2019

A JCB worker was surprised with a £70,000 car yesterday, after winning a spot-the-ball competition.

David Goodwin, from Meir, was working at JCB World Parts Centre in Beamhurst, Uttoxeter, when his surprise prize was delivered on Tuesday, December 3.

David is the 503rd weekly winner of the 'dream car' competition run by BOTB.

Players simply buy online tickets, reflecting the value of the car they'd like to win and then attempt to pinpoint where they think a ball has been erased from a different photo each week.

BOTB has been running competitions since 1999 and has given away more than £30 million in prizes so far.

David's prize - a £70,000 Audi E-Tron - was delivered to him by the BOTB team yesterday and videoed for the company's YouTube channel.

David said: "I don't play the lottery any more because the odds are too high

"But the BOTB spot the ball game is something I just do every now and again - it's more fun than picking six numbers.

"It's very simple and I usually just play for a bit of fun.

"I normally just get a £3 ticket, but this time I went for one that was £3.10, as it put in with a chance for a bigger prize.

"It was just a bit of luck - but a nice bit of luck just before Christmas!"
