BMW worth £43,000 won by Benfleet woman in BOTB competition

A BENFLEET woman has won a brand new BMW M135, after entering an online competition for the first time.
Lucy Shapland, of Benfleet, was surprised by BOTB presenter Christian Williams, who informed her she was the week’s winner and revealed her new car parked around the corner.
Ms Shapland, 20, said: “I still feel like this isn’t real.
“It was the first time I had entered and I couldn’t believe it.
“I was sitting in the garden eating a toastie on my lunch break and when I saw Christian I said to my dad I knew exactly who it was.”
She said: “I now have a better car than my boyfriend, who’s got a BMW 1 Series, and he’s a bit jealous.
“He’s already asked to be put on my insurance.”
Mr Williams said: “Having dreamt of owning a BMW, Lucy will soon have a stunning new motor worth £43,000 on her drive.
“It’s a fantastic car, and I’m sure she’s going to have a lot of fun once she gets behind the wheel and starts driving it around.”
