Michael ‘Mick’ Beardmore has a couple of reasons to celebrate at the moment – not only is his wife due to give birth to their second child next week, but he’s also this week’s Dream Car competition winner, scooping the superb Mini Mulgari Icon 2 worth £37,000!

Builder Mick was surprised with the news by Christian in Leeds earlier today and he was stunned, asking “am I going to wake up in a minute?!” And the celebratory mood continued when Christian popped open the boot to reveal £20k in cash as well, money which Mick said would help buying nappies and to pay some of the mortgage…whilst his colleagues suggested a trip to watch England in the World Cup at the weekend instead! We say do both…congratulations Mick!

Car competition win for Bramhope builder

Jul 2018

A BRAMHOPE man is celebrating winning a brand new car - plus £20,000.

Builder Michael Beardmore was surprised with the keys to a Mini Mugari Icon 2 (worth £37,000) and the money after entering a Best of the Best (BOTB) dream car competition.

The 46 year old received the good news at work and it couldn't have come at a better time, as he and his partner are expecting their second child.

The prizes also provided some consolation to the football fan following England's semi-final elimination from the World Cup.

He said: "I’m honestly speechless, I really can’t believe I’ve won!

"My partner and I are expecting our second child so I don’t think I’ll ever have a better week than this.

"I really keep thinking 'am I going to wake up in a minute?', it’s unbelievable.

"I watch the winners every week but never thought it would be my week.

"This couldn’t have come at a better time with the baby due, think how many nappies we can buy with £20,000."

Founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, BOTB has handed over the keys to more than £22 million worth of sports cars as prizes.

The company has high-profile stands at airports and large shopping centres.

More details about Mr Beardmore's win can be found at www.botb.com .

TESTIMONIAL

Tuesday, 10th July I approached the address where I was working and who pops up from behind the scaffolder’s truck but the cheeky chap Christian... it took a while to register, but I knew then I’d won my Mini Mulgari! There it was, parked around the corner with the BOTB flags on both sides and the lovely ‘Winner’ sign at the front.

After a quick rundown of the car’s spec - and not to mention the £20k that was in the suitcase in the boot – Christian headed back to London and 8 weeks later after the customisation to my specification, I traveled down to the Mulgari Automotive showroom to pick up my prize.  After owning it now for a couple of weeks, all I can say is what a fantastic car and fantastic competition.  I can only say to people that don't believe it's real, it sure is and to keep playing – you never know!  I would like to thank all at BOTB for an amazing experience.
