THE DOCTOR WILL SEE YOU NOW

Doctor Faheem Shah from Bolton was waiting for his next patient when Christian video-called him with the brilliant news that, as the latest Dream Car winner, he had scooped the brand new Lotus Eletre worth over £90,000.

Faheem loves his EVs, but nothing comes close to the Eletre: "It's beautiful... definitely my dream car".

And the timing couldn't have been better, as Faheem recently had his old car written off... talk about a worthy replacement – massive congrats!

Bolton doctor's surprise supercar win in BOTB competition

Apr 2023

It was just what the doctor ordered!

Dr Faheem Shah could not believe his luck after he was told he was the winner of a new Lotus, worth nearly £100,000. The 45-year, who lives in Bolton with his family. was in the middle of a clinic when he received a called from online competition BOTB presenter Christian Williams with the news he was this week's winner of the Dream Car Competition, scooping a rare Lotus Eletre valued at £91,000. Dr Shah, whose first name means lucky told Christian he “needed a lie down” after hearing the news he was proud owner of supercar.

Faheem was over the moon with the news but had to instantly revert to his normal bedside manner to welcome his next patient. He said: “I had just finished with one of my patients when Christian’s face came up on the call. I was in complete shock but had to hide this news from everyone until I finished the clinic at 8.30pm. "It was the hardest thing ever but such a relief when I could finally share the news with my family.”

The Eletre is an all-electric hyper-SUV, a stunning addition to the Lotus line-up which goes from 0-60mph in under three seconds and offers nearly 400 miles of range. And having written off his Audi recently, Faheem said he could not wait to put his order in. “I was awake all night adding extras and looking at the configurator,” said Dr Shah. He added: “I know it’s definitely going to be in the classic Lotus yellow. “I crashed my old A8 in Covid and have not really had the heart to get anything else. Now I can’t wait to get my hands on it. Thanks so much to BOTB!”

Faheem said his family - wife Wandana, daughter Anousheh, aged nine, and son Rustam, aged five - were jumping up and down with joy at the news. “We all love cars and my wife plays BOTB with me every week so this is a win for everyone!” Christian, who flipped the camera to show Faheem the gleaming prize, said: “Faheem’s face said it all - what a stunning car and what a lovely guy. He’ll definitely be amongst the first people to get hold of this SUV and boy is he going to enjoy it!”

As well as a Dream Car prize, BOTB runs a Midweek LIfestyle competition. The company, listed on the stock market, was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away more than £52m-worth of prizes so far.
