48HR Lifestyle competition winner & results Kamrul Hasan - £15,000 Cash 11 - 17 May 2020 (Week 20)

CLOSE X

YOU KAM DO IT!

To say that car salesman Kamrul is a huge BOTB fan is an understatement, so you can imagine his reaction when Christian called him earlier today to reveal that, as this week's Lifestyle winner, he had scooped £15,000 cash! And it couldn't have come at a better time as Kam's car broke down yesterday so he'll be using the money to buy a new one – congrats Kam and enjoy your prize!

Question:

Which is the odd one out?

Answer:

Toronto in Canada

Explanation:

The postcard from Toronto in Canada is the only one that's not from the USA.

Best Of The Best £15k win came at the perfect time for Luton man

Jun 2020

A man from Luton has described his £15,000 competition win as ‘life-saving’.

Kam Hasan, from Sundon Park, was woken by a phone call from Best Of The Best plc (BOTB) last week to say he had won £15,000.

The 30-year-old correctly answered a question on geography in the Lifestyle competition, to win the prize money.

The timing was perfect as the day before Kam’s car had broken down and, as a temporary delivery driver, he would have been out of work.

Kam said: “It feels amazing to have won.

“I got the call on Wednesday morning, it actually woke me up, but it was the best call to wake up to.

“I work as a car salesman for Car City Luton, which has been closed during lockdown, so I began a temporary delivery driving job.

“On Tuesday, my car broke and I didn’t have enough money to buy another one.

“I went to bed worrying about what I was going to do and then I woke up to that phone call.

“It was amazing, a real life-saving phone call.

“I have bought a new car for work, when we are out of lockdown I will treat myself to a nice car.”

BOTB has been running competitions since 1999. Every week there are guaranteed winners in the Dream Car, Midweek Car and Lifestyle competitions.

BOTB’s Christian Williams rang Kam with the good news, he said: “We’re delighted for Kam.

“I have the luckiest job in the world handing over cash and cars to winners each week, but it’s great when that win means even more than usual.

“With lockdown causing financial headaches for everyone and Kam’s car breaking down in the days before his win, we know the money will help him get back on his feet and back on the road.”
