Porsche Macan GTS + £2,000 Prize
Porsche hit the jackpot when it released the Cayenne in 2002, bringing huge profits and enabling more development of its GT program. It makes sense that it capitalised on the growing SUV market and released a smaller version – the Macan.
The Macan has had its second major facelift with a slightly revised nose, a tweaked new look for the rear end and plenty of design and tech revisions to the interior bringing this small SUV up to date. This Macan GTS model uses Porsche's new 2.9-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine, which effectively replaces the Turbo with 434bhp and 550Nm of torque, with performance to match – 0-62mph takes 4.5 seconds. It'll top out at almost 170mph.
The turbo V6-engined Porsche Macan GTS has a throaty growl that you don't get with the 4-cylinder version, and the extra power will certainly be noticed. The fact that it's a GTS means you get loads of different tech and chassis kits — it has Porsche's Active Suspension system, new wheels, a Sport Design body kit, and plenty more.
The GTS is fast becoming the pick of the Porsche range, so we'd recommend this Porsche Macan GTS.
