We love the BMW X3 here at BOTB, the perfect blend of style, size and quality makes it the ideal family SUV. Well for 2024 BMW has really turned up the juice on the X3 with a new top-of-the-line M-lite car – the X3 M50.
Styling-wise, the front end is smoother than before, but gains a larger, more imposing (and illuminated!) grille like on the XM. Also like the XM is the rear end with the bodyline that tapers upwards and there are a set of quad exhaust pipes to hint at the performance.
And what performance there is! The familiar 3.0 litre twin turbocharged straight-six now produces 396bhp and 580Nm of torque which means 0-62mph takes just 4.6 seconds on the way to a limited 155mph top speed.
The interior has been given a serious glow-up too, with a new massive screen that stretches from in front of the driver to the centre of the dash, running the excellent iDrive9 system and there is so much interior ambient lighting that you’ll feel like you’re driving a Gaming PC.
This new M50 is the best X3 there is until the new X3M is launched and you can win one with BOTB!
