BMW M4 Competition xDrive Prize

One of the most popular BMWs we’ve ever had is back, and it’s been sorely missed. It’s the outstanding BMW M4 Competition xDrive!

That's right – the M4 is now xDrive only, but as an M/// car, you can make it RWD at the push of a button.

The extra power plus AWD means the new BMW M4 Competition hits 62mph in just 3.5 seconds and, as always, tops out at 155mph unless you buy the Drivers Package, which ups it to 180mph.

So, onto those looks – the grille is the first thing you notice, and we think it looks robust, especially from the rearview mirror of the car in front. The headlights are tweaked with better LED matrix tech for 2024.

Elsewhere, seriously swollen wheel arches accommodate the wider track, deeper side skirts, and a rear diffuser that houses four 100mm exhaust tips.

Inside, the excellent new 4-Series is further boosted by some tasty seats and a few more buttons for the various M/// modes and driving configuration options. At the same time, there's the latest version of the iDrive eight system with its massive screen.
