Wheely lucky! Bromley man wins £60k car {{favouriteCount}}
A BROMLEY man who has been without his own set of wheels for the past five years has won a car worth almost £60k.
Musician Dominic Smith was left speechless when he was given the news that he’d won a gleaming BMW M3 worth £57,905 from the car giveaway company, BOTB.
Aspiring author Dominic, who has written a children’s philosophy book called The Bird and the Elephant, entered the competition at Gatwick airport. He said: “It was an amazing shock.
“I’ve been entering for years at airports, before you could play the competition online. My fiancée always said she was skeptical about it all but I always told her that people do actually win these cars every week. She’s got to believe it now.
“I haven’t owned a car for about five years now, due to the cost. Because I live in south east London, I manage to get about ok, I think it’s just something I’ve gotten used to. I hire a car when I need one for work.
“Every week when I watch the videos of people being given their cars I just think, good luck to you. And now it’s actually me, I’m really in shock, it’s amazing.”
BOTB was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has handed over the keys to more than £22m worth of supercars.
