This was the moment a Stokie sparky struggling with the rising cost of living found out he had won £20,000 in cash. Dad-of-one Liam Brammer was on his way to work for a shift as a hospital electrician when he received video-call to tell him he was thousands of pounds richer. He had to correctly identify a dog as an Italian greyhound to bag the windfall.

Liam couldn't believe it when he found out he'd scooped the prize through competition website's BOTB Midweek Lifestyle Prize Draw. On receiving the call from presenter Christian, stunned Liam said: "Oh brill - that's going to help me out massively!"

He is planning to use winnings to help out with the cost of living crisis, with enough cash left over to take his wife and son on his dream holiday to Austria. Liam said: "It'll help massively. There will be money left over for a holiday. I love anything like middle European countries. "They're beautiful. I think I'll take my wife and my little lad."
