LUCKY courier from south Warwickshire bagged himself his very own special delivery in the form of a £87,000 new supercar he won in an online competition.
Stratford resident Neil Rowley won an Audi R8 V10 in an online competition run by BOTB which cost him just 10p to enter.
It proved to be first time lucky for the 38-year-old who had never entered the competition before.
Neil was about to head home after a long day at work when BOTB presenter Christian Williams walked into his office and surprised him with the exciting news. He also unveiled his new prize, which was parked down the road.
Neil said: “To win is amazing, and I’m still in a bit of shock. I keep having to tell myself to calm down.
“It’s the first time I entered the competition, so I feel very lucky.
“I’ve watched videos of other people winning, so I had a good idea I had won when I saw Christian walk in.”
The Audi R8 V10 is a car Neil has dreamed of owning since he drove one at a track day 15 years ago.
The father-of-two’s family was equally thrilled by the big win.
Neil continued: “My wife was very excited and couldn’t believe it. My five-year-old son has already asked if he can see the new car.”
Christian added: “A huge congratulations to Neil for winning this wicked car, which cost him just 10p to enter.
“We caught him just as he was about to head home, and I could see his smile getting bigger when he realised why I was there.
“Neil is a massive fan of Audis and supercars, so this really is the perfect win for him. The fact that he won on his very first attempt makes it even more special.”
Car competitions company BOTB hands over the keys to a dream car each week as well as a lifestyle prize.
Founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, it has given away £86.5 million worth of cars so far.
