A man from Reading has scooped up a Porsche and £20,000 after entering a competition that only cost him £2 to enter. Harry Baker, 28, said that he will use the vehicle as his wedding car as he's set to marry his fiance Catherine next year.
Footage from the day shows the groom shocked and ecstatic after seeing presenter Christian Williams knock on his door. The competition was run by BOTB, which runs weekly dream car competitions for motorheads.
In the footage, Harry opens the door and tells Christian that he's "shaking" and says "are you serious?" He then says "I can't believe it, thank you so much."
Harry works as a quality control manager at GSK and told Christian that he’s a huge Porsche fan. He said: “I’ve always been into Porsches, I get it from my dad".
“I’ve got a 2008 Porsche Cayman at the moment which I will probably give to my dad now.” Talking about the prize money, the 28-year-old said that the cash “will definitely go to the wedding and honeymoon fund" with the couple hoping to jet away to somewhere hot and sunny - like the Maldives.
BOTB’s Christian said: “Harry played for a fantastic prize and I’m so excited for him. A new Porsche, wedding and a honeymoon to the Maldives? He is certainly in for an exciting couple of years! Have the best time Harry!”
