Karol scooped the huge amount in BOTB's instant wins competition and plans to take his young daughter to meet her grandparents, who live in Greece, for the first time
A Midlothian dad is planning to take his toddler to meet her grandparents abroad for the first time after scooping thousands of pounds on an online competition.
Karol Sierpinski, from Gorebridge, recently won £10,000 in BOTB's instant wins competition. Thrilled with the news, the local dad is planning a getaway to Greece for his 18-month-old daughter to meet her grandparents for the first time.
Karol was watching TV with his daughter when he received a video call from BOTB presenter Christian Williams.
“It’s amazing, I still can’t believe it,” he said. “I had put the little one to bed and was relaxing, so I thought I would just buy a couple of tickets.
“When it came through to say I had won £10,000 I didn’t know what to say. I text my partner, who was working a night shift, and she couldn’t believe it either.
“We really want to take my daughter to see her grandparents in Athens. Because she’s only 18-months-old, we haven’t been able to yet. I’m so grateful.”
Christian said: “Karol’s big win means he and his family will be able to head to Athens, so his little one can meet their grandparents for the first time. I can’t think of many better ways to spend the cash, and I’m sure the whole family are going to have an amazing time.
“It also means he can buy a lot of Peppa Pig toys for his daughter as well.”
BOTB hands over the keys to a car each week as well as a lifestyle prize. It also offers people the chance to win a holiday, cash, tech, cars and more in its Instant Wins Competition.
Founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, BOTB has given away £70m-worth of cars so far.
