Leicester woman claims late mum helped her win BOTB £25,000 prize {{favouriteCount}}
A Leicester woman believes the presence of her late mother has helped her win a £25,000 cash prize in an online competition. Kirsty Moore-Mansfield scooped the win in BOTB's Instant Wins Competition but needed her husband to check it was the genuine as it "didn't feel real".
The 32-year-old credits her late mum, who died earlier this year, with the victory. "I've had such a tough and hectic year, so it's about time we had some good luck," she said the mother-of-two.
"When I found out I won I was shaking and sweating, and it didn't feel real," she said. "I had to check with my husband that I was reading it right. The whole experience has been surreal.
"We're sitting on it at the moment, and don't know whether to invest in buying a property, as we currently rent. A holiday somewhere is also on the cards," she added.
BOTB presenter Christian said: "It's a huge amount of money, and I'm delighted for Kirsty. After a very tough year, she deserved some good luck, and she has certainly received some with this big win. She was clearly in shock, which I'm sure will wear off once the money is in her bank."
