Izana Grant and his wife Sarah, from Essex, are now planning their dream honeymoon with the eye-watering jackpot. The pair were gobsmacked when online competition company BOTB presenter, Sean Hall, turned up at their doorstep with the life-changing news. After entering the Dream Car Competition, for £4, they were stunned to discover a hybrid Range Rover P550e Autobiography parked in their driveway. To add to their astonishment, they found £50,000 cash in the boot of the impressive motor - which features a 38kwH battery, 542bhp and top speed of 150mph.
Izana, who works for a property management company, said: “I couldn’t believe it. I went very lightheaded and I’m looking at this car thinking whether it was real. “I started playing around lockdown and play most weeks. “I always played for fun and used to joke with my wife that she should tell me if BOTB ever phoned. “We haven’t had a chance to properly celebrate yet, but will probably go out for a special meal.” And the newlyweds have bigger plans on the horizon too - a luxurious honeymoon. “We were always planning to go somewhere for our honeymoon, but this money opens up a lot more options," Izana added. "There are loads of amazing places we would like to go like Bali and Vietnam.”
Presenter Sean said: “Izana has won an amazing car and it will certainly get him from A to B in a good time.
“It was great to see the couple’s reaction when I lifted the boot to reveal their huge cash prize. "I am sure the money will come in very handy when they finally get around to booking their honeymoon.” BOTB shells out prizes every week, including holidays, Rolex watches, cars and motorbikes. Since launching the firm founded by William Hindmarch, in 1999, the online competition has seen £53million worth of cars given away. This included Saleem Chaudhary, from Birmingham, who said he believed his late mother was 'looking down' on him and helped him win a BOTB mega-prize. On top of his sizeable chunk of cash, Saleem received a luxury Mercedes Brabus GLE-700 Coupe as part of the Best of the Best (BOTB) dream car competition. Plus, lucky winner Ian Bulley, who scooped an Audi RSQ3 and £30,000 in cash, said: “Wow!! What an amazing feeling to win this competition. Never in a million years did I expect Christian to surprise me with a video call."
Meanwhile, another successful player, Ryan Cheah won a Mercedes G63 AMG and £70k in cash.
He said: “This is the best website if you're feeling lucky and it’s definitely a reliable business.“You might see pessimistic people typing “scam” in the comments sections, but time and time again they have been proven wrong. Thank you BOTB for giving hope to the people!!” And, Dave Ratcliffe won a Tesla 3 and £30k, and said: “Amazing surprise to get the video call from Christian after playing many times in the past!
