A pizza shop worker is celebrating a slice of incredible fortune after bagging himself his £105,000 dream car in an online competition.
Ali Ahmed, from Hull, was in disbelief after winning a Range Rover Sport P460e Autobiography in BOTB’s weekly Dream Car Competition. Ali was at home when he received a surprise visit from BOTB presenter Christian Williams, who surprised him with the news he was this week’s winner and unveiled the car, which was parked around the corner in Porter Street.
"Do you think I'm a winner?” he said, when he opened the door to Christian. "I’m utterly speechless. I’ve played the EuroMillions before, but never won. In fact, this is the first time I’ve won anything."
Ali added: "About a week ago, my friend encouraged me to enter, saying I might be lucky this time, as I’ve never been lucky before in my life. I thought I would give it a go, as my mind and heart told me that maybe I would win."
The Range Rover Sport P460e Autobiography features a 38kWh battery, 454bhp and top speed of 140mph. Despite his love for the luxury SUV, Ali remains undecided about whether to keep the car or opt for the cash alternative.
"It’s one of my favourite cars and to win one is a dream come true for me," said Ali, who started playing with BOTB more than five years ago. "If I take the cash I would put it towards buying a house as I've been living in a flat for 13 years," he added.
Christian said: "A massive congratulations to Ali for winning this fantastic prize worth more than £100,000. He has always hoped to own a Range Rover one day, but we have a sneaky suspicion he may take the juicy cash alternative to get on the property ladder.
"And with Christmas around the corner, I’m sure the cash will come in handy to ensure it’s a very special one for Ali and his family. Whether he decides to drive off in the car or take the cash, it’s going to make a huge difference to his life."
Leading car competitions company BOTB hands over the keys to a stunning dream car each week as well as a lifestyle prize. It also offers people the chance to win a holiday, cash, tech, cars and more in its Instant Wins Competition.
Founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, BOTB has given away £80m-worth of cars so far. To see Ali’s reaction alongside a host of other lucky winners, head over to BOTB.com.
