Hornchurch dad surprised with £70k prize {{favouriteCount}}

A Hornchurch father has received a welcome surprise that he says will enable his family to get a new home ahead of the birth of his second child.

Kaspar Aavik and his wife Stacy, who currently live in a flat in Hornchurch, are expecting their second child in October and had been hoping to move to a bigger property.

Thanks to online competition Best of the Best (BOTB), the family were winners of a Ford Mustang worth £50,000 and a further £20,000 cash.

Kaspar, 33, who works for Virgin Media, was surprised with the prize just two days after his birthday last month.

He said after winning they will be able to buy a house and added: “To be honest, this takes away all the stress.

“We have been planning and budgeting and working out how we would raise the extra money for a bigger home and then this happens.”
