Hampshire postman wins car and cash prizes worth almost £40k

A POSTMAN from Hampshire was left stunned after receiving the ultimate first-class surprise – a £19,000 car and cash prize bundle – while out on his rounds.
Lee was at work when he received a video call from BOTB presenter Christian Williams who broke the exciting news.
“This sort of thing doesn’t happen to me,” Lee said.
“When Christian called me, it took me by surprise. I recognised who it was straight away though because I’ve seen him on the website.”
The Dacia Spring Extreme is a top-of-the-line electric city car, featuring a 65-horsepower motor and 15-inch alloy wheels. However, Lee is planning on taking the cash alternative and put it towards upgrading his current set of wheels, which has got over 100,000 miles on the clock.
“I like the look of the Dacia, but because I live in an apartment, I would have trouble charging it up, so I will probably take the cash to buy another car," he explained.
“I’m going to start looking around garages to see what’s out there.”
Lee, who turns 50 this year, said the win has come as an early birthday present. His girlfriend has already asked if he can take her on holiday, and the couple is planning a nice meal out at the weekend to celebrate his big win.
Christian said: "Surprising people with new cars and cash prizes is always an amazing feeling, and catching Lee by surprise while he was out on his post round made it even better.
"He was over the moon, and I know the cash is going to help him find the perfect new set of wheels. A huge congratulations to him."
Leading car competitions company BOTB hands over the keys to a stunning dream car each week as well as a lifestyle prize.
It also offers people the chance to win a holiday, cash, tech, cars and more in its Instant Wins Competition.
Founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, BOTB has given away £86.9m-worth of cars so far.
