A man has proved his boss wrong by winning an £80,000 muscle car.

Andy Davies, 44, from Crawley, was presented the keys to his new Nissan GT-R at work in Copthorne this morning (Tuesday October 6).

Andy, director of office refurbishment company Facility Solutions, Snowhill Lane, Copthorne, won the car and £10,000 by playing Best Of The Best (BOTB).

He said: “I’ve played with BOTB for a long time and I’ve seen all the videos of previous winners but I never thought it would be me.”

A spokesman for BOTB, said Andy said his boss, who had ‘poured scorn’ on his attempts to win the weekly competition, had given him £100 to win another one.

Andy said: “He wants me to win him a Range Rover. “He always used say it was a waste of time but he thinks differently now!” The Nissan will join Mr Davies’s Yamaha R1, Mercedes 350CDi AMG limited edition and his girlfriend, Abbie’s Subaru Impreza.

Andy said: “Maybe the Merc will have to go but I can’t really think straight yet.”

BOTB boss Will Hindmarch presented him the keys.

Andy said: “When I saw Will walk through the building I was just completely and utterly speechless. “He always hands over the keys to the cars and this time it was my turn.”

Mr Hindmarch said: “Every time we give a car away it’s a special moment but Andy’s reaction shows just what it means.

“It’s a life-changing moment in so many ways.” BOTB can be played in Gatwick Airport and online.
